Bob Salvatore signs new 6 book contract.

After the current book (coming out this year) which was the final novel of his current contract, Bob and WotC inked another contract calling for 6 novels, 1 per year, starting in 2011.

So it looks like at least 7 more Drizzt novels.

I wonder if they have to be Drizzt novels.

Well it IS the Realms. And Drizzt is what sells.

In addition, Bob still enjoys writing about the drow ranger. So it stands to reason they will be Drizzt-centric novels
