Vice President of Marketing

Responsibilities:

* Drives budget, annual operating plan, and three-year strategic business plans for multiple categories/initiatives to identify and meet corporate and IP goals.
* Leads development of IP/corporate identity by gaining an understanding of market position, customers, competitors, proposed product offerings, and customer service proposition.
* Develops and conveys in-depth understanding of key business drivers. Provides solutions for driving business through better use of existing vehicles.
* Oversees IP development and strategy for trade, consumer, and corporate marketing.
* Directs development and execution of brand identity both internally and externally, ensuring evolution of the brand strategy consistent with 38 Studios business direction.
* Directs strategic research in support of the firm's designated market sectors and explores additional growth markets.
* Acts as intermediary between senior management and creative teams and external partners, providing directional guidance to these teams that aligns with senior management's vision and initiatives, managing a team of marketing professionals who are responsible for strategic planning, marketing communications, product marketing and product management.
* Monitors and controls firm marketing and licensing activities, expenses, results, and other metrics. Participates in the bi-annual reviews of the business and marketing plans.

Basic Position Requirements:

* 7+ years' experience in game marketing is a must. At least 2 years experience as a VP.
* MMOG experience is preferred.
* Undergraduate degree in public marketing / liberal arts a plus.
* MBA desireable.
