Graphic Design Artist
Position Responsibilities
* Creation of artwork to the highest quality standards for a variety of production- and marketing-related projects, with an emphasis on graphic design, printed materials, on-screen interface layout, web design, and corporate identity.
* Work with Art Director and interdisciplinary Art Leads to produce graphic design that adheres to a unified studio art vision.
* Meet project deadlines / milestones as set by studio production management.
* Work within established pipelines and procedures for game art production, and help to identify additional processes and art tools necessary to do so efficiently.
* Support various art efforts for other departments as requested.
* Promote a productive and energetic culture within the team and studio.
Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements
* Knowledge: Knowledge and experience with a variety of 2D design software packages, including expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark and/or InDesign, working knowledge of DreamWeaver and Flash, and bonus points for experience with any web-based programming or scripting language, such as HTML, Actionscript, JavaScript, or Ruby. Must be able to demonstrate a strong, hands-on knowledge of art creation tools and production experience.
* Competencies: Exceptional artistic abilities, ideally across a variety of media, both traditional and electronic. Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with solid organization and efficient time management. Able to collaborate with other game team leads in a deadline-driven environment. Effective self-tasker. Firm understanding of art production pipelines, ideally within web or print publishing environment. Font design and typesetting experience a big plus.
* Experience: Expected minimum 2 to 4 years of applicable industry experience with at least one completed product as an Artist.
