Gameplay Engineer

Responsibilities
* Work with engineering leads to create high quality software that meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
* Participate in code reviews.
* Work with the other departments to define and reach common goals, focusing on engineering efforts within cross-disciplinary teams.
* Iterate with designers and animators on systems like player control and camera, combat, user interface, etc.
* Facilitate communications between engineering and other departments.
* Meet project deadlines and milestones as set by the studio.
Knowledge, skills & ability requirements
* Knowledge: Solid knowledge of C++ required. Experience with Python a plus. At least a working knowledge of a few disciplines (e.g. AI, animation, rendering, UI, networking, etc). Knowledge of MMOs and their architecture is a plus.
* Competencies: Good oral and written communication skills; solid organization and efficient time management skills are required. Understands how to work on large teams in a deadline-driven environment. Able to effectively share opinions about what makes games fun.
* Education: Bachelor degree in Computer Science is preferred.
* Experience: 1 year game industry experience with at least 1 shipped title is preferred (or equivalent experience on personal projects or several years experience in a related field).
