Re: If you could give 38 just one piece of advice...
My suggestion would be to implement the option for User Created Enhancements or simply, mods. Let's be serious here. Many of us here have played WoW at some point in our lives. Many of us most likely still play it. As someone has already mentioned, WoW was not very different from many other MMO's that are available. What it did right was took many other good ideas MMO's had & improved on it. Placed it in there game with an already well established Warcraft universe & it was the perfect formula for a huge success. They continue to add new features to the game to improve it further & further.
All of what I just mentioned played a role that made WoW as successful as it is. Many other MMO's released after WoW tried to do the same thing but for short in many areas. There was one specific part that also played a role is WoW's success that I've see no one implement with as much depth. That is the Mod system. I can't even explain how huge this is for WoW. It was the single deciding factor that made me a fan & player of the game. I never looked at MMO's the same after experiencing that function. Other MMO's tried to do the same thing but it did not feel as rewarding as the WoW mods felt. It really does change a MMO greatly when the community can add there tweaks & doodads to it. It really can change the experience for the game.
